For general operating support for this organization, which advocates the end of the practice of trying, sentencing and incarcerating youthful offenders under the age of 18 in the adult criminal justice system. It also advocates the reauthorization and strengthening of the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Act by the U.S. Congress. This grant helps the Campaign provide technical assistance and advocacy tools to state-based advocates working to raise the age a juvenile can be prosecuted in adult court and reduce juvenile transfers to the adult criminal system. The Campaign also identifies and supports young people to speak publicly and share their experiences with the justice system.Campaign for Youth Justice Washington, D.C.
